I have always liked shopping at Asda and I find it cheaper than the other contenders. The Swansea store in particular is big and roomy and I always find what I need at the time of shopping. I have rated 3 stars because I think the staff's attitudes could be improved as they just don't look happy working there. Just my opinion.
A good-sized store with the usual offerings and plenty of parking.
The store is situated to the north of Swansea just off the M4, so handy when on your travels and mo trudging into the town centre required.
Located nearby is a Premier Inn, Greggs, and a selection of fast food establishments, so plenty on offer.
We visited during peak time and I was surprised how swiftly the tills operated. Almost no wait and the plenty of staff around if you needed to locate anything. The help desks were constantly staffed and overall the place was very tidy. They had some gaps on the shelves but that's understandable especially after a whole day of trading. Not my local supermarket but will definitely visit again.
Visited this store on Monday (2nd Oct) about 4.30. Called to the canteen for something quick to eat. There wasn't much there as it was quite late in the afternoon. The lady working there had such a fantastic attitude offering to cook for us. She was lovely and I hope she's appreciated.
Asda Swansea is a great place to shop. Lots of choice across the whole range of products. Prices are moderately priced, and you can make good savings, especially when you use the loyalty app. I don't really interact with the staff, but that's out of choice, but they seem quite friendly. Never had issues with returning products either, so overall, it's a great shopping experience.
Fresh bread selection is very poor when I call in after work, 17.30, fresh fish counter has gone, instead they have a street food counter, every time I look in the street food fridge nearly everything is reduced, probably because t it's not that popular,
Bring back the fish counter and the hot meat counter!!
On the whole a good place to shop. The store is big, plenty of choice and the prices are reasonable. They have a good choice of non food items too. Also there are plenty of check outs open and lots of self service ones, so your not queuing for long.
Asda is my favorite place for shopping. No one compare asda price and offers. Huge collection of varieties.
My wife and I have never been fans of Asda, the quality of their merchandise often seeming sub standard. As a result we had not visited an ASDA store for many years. We decided to see if they had improved. Sadly our opinion hasn't changed! Admittedly it was a busy Saturday and the place was packed. The whole experience was poor, particularly the number of empty cardboard boxes littering the floor and shelves throughout the store. Signage was poor and often just plain wrong. The car park was also very busy and my wife had to move quite quickly to avoid being run over by a woman reversing her huge SUV into a disabled bay seemingly oblivious of others around her! This isn't directly the store's fault but the disabled parking could be improved to make access easier for bad drivers! We won't be going back.
Worst collection from asda pickup.waiting for hour and half.bad customer service .hate them.
